CONNOISSEUR'S FEAST

POLISH TITLE: UCZTA KONESERA

Kaja, a young and promising artist, is stuck in a creativity crisis. Overwhelmed by the pressure of the art market, with no support of her faithless partner, she organises a diabolic performance. A macabre jibe at the world of art brings her great success. Kaja overcomes her helplessness and confirms her artistic position. Sławomir Shuty, an author, photographer and director, focuses his camera lens on the world of contemporary art, pop culture and mass fascination with controversy. The bloodier, the more expressive and the sexier, the greater the publicity. This film is a caricature, provocation and possibly a commentary, too. Its aim is to divide the audience, offend and anger them as well as provoke a discussion. To what extent are the author’s observations apt and where do they oversimplify the reality?
